What is it?
· is a virtual globe that provides maps, directions, and specific geographical information. The imagines can be viewed as a road map, satellite images and images that have been uploaded. Google bought the program in 2004 and enhanced the program to make it more user friendly. It maps the Earth by the satellite images and aerial photos/
· It is amazing!

How can you use it?
  • · Recently we have been using this program in our school to map the Olympic events in and around Vancouver.
  • · This has been an advantage to our school and my personal classroom because we have been able to map a drive to the Olympics logging specific land marks on the way that have related to our Social Studies unit, literate we are reading, and calculating distance and the time it would take to travel the distance.
